Awesome New DIY Pedicure Trick.....

I like for my nails to look nice. (Even the toe thumb. Well, it doesn't really look nice.....)

Which is fairly difficult, since I run so much! I won't show you the horrible photos I see all the time on blogs that are written by ultra runners.... Just imagine smacking your toenails twice a day with a hammer, and then rubbing your feet with sandpaper....that's about what most serious runners' feet look like!

There was even one blog that had a toenail necklace. You know, for all of the toenails you lose while training for an ultra. Nice. Special.

Now, sometimes "nice feet" is an oxymoron...... like in this photo:

I had the cute pedicure, but if you run too far, like I did, you wind up with a blister that resembles a Hot Tamale. Not nice. Or pretty. It really ruins the cute pedicure image.

But I digress.....

This week, I found this cool new product by O.P.I., called "Shatter":

Basically, you paint your nails any color (the colored nail polish in the photo is just plain nail polish), then you put one coat of the black "Shatter" over the regular polish, and it...well.....shatters. I really want to buy the glittery pink shade to use as a base, but the store was sold out, so I used two coats of white, then the black Shatter. It looks COOL!

I just bought it at my local beauty supply, and it was about 8 bucks. You can also find it online I am sure, if you don't live near a shop that sells O.P.I.

Happy pedicures! (And my apologies to anyone who reads my blog who is male)
